Our plain-English website terms — written by the Trustees, in a single Saturday at the kitchen table, with the help of a free template from the Charity Commission.

  • Forms on this site are illustrative; in a live deployment they would submit to a third-party processor and you would be charged accordingly.
  • We don't accept liability for any loss arising from your use of this site beyond what is required by law.

This website (talbf.org) is operated by The Astede Lodge Benevolent Fund, a charitable trust registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under number 218915. Our registered office is 85 Kennel Lane, Fetcham, Leatherhead, KT22 9PR.

2 · Acceptable use

You may use this website to read its contents, subscribe to our dispatches, contact us, and make donations. You agree not to use the website in any way that breaks any applicable law, that infringes the rights of any third party, or that knowingly transmits any malicious code, virus, worm or trojan. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website that is not openly published.

3 · Intellectual property

Text, original photographs, illustrations and the logo of the fund are © The Astede Lodge Benevolent Fund, all rights reserved. You may, for non-commercial purposes:

  • Quote up to 200 words of the text with a credit (The Astede Lodge Benevolent Fund · talbf.org) and, where the quotation appears online, a hyperlink to the source page.
  • Print copies of the public documents for your own reference.
  • Cite specific figures from the Annual Reports without further permission, provided you do so accurately.

For any other use, please write and ask — we are usually delighted to consent.

4 · Forms and form submissions

The forms on this website (donation, newsletter, volunteer, contact, partner, event registration) are illustrative on this static deployment; in a live, production environment they submit to third-party processors as described in our Privacy Policy. By submitting any form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

5 · Donations

All donations to the fund are received gratefully and are non-refundable, except in cases of evident error (e.g. accidental duplication or an obvious wrong amount), in which case please write to [email protected] within ten working days and we will arrange a refund. We may decline a donation if we have reasonable grounds to believe it was given in error or in fraud.

6 · Third-party links

This website occasionally links to third-party websites (for example the Charity Commission register, OpenStreetMap, or partner charities). We are not responsible for the content of any external website and a link from us is not an endorsement.

7 · Disclaimers

We aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is free from errors or omissions. The website is provided on an 'as is' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and other terms which would otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
